G2 Esports and League of Legends player Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski have parted ways for the 2023 season after five years of cooperation.
In his video, Jankos explained the reasons for this decision. He also noted he is not going to retire.
“So I do want to still compete I did not intend or retiring I also actually didn’t really think about leaving G2 but then G2 also made a decision that they want to try with a different giant for next year,” he said.
The 27-year-old Polish athlete joined G2 at the end of 2017. With the team, he won quite a few League of Legends European Championships in 2019-2022, but at the World’s the squad ranked second, and third-fourth in 2018-2020. In 2021, they flew out of the qualifiers and in 2022 they couldn’t reach the playoffs.
G2’s LoL roster is now:
