The inactive Virtus.pro player Timur “buster” Tulepov will join Cloud9 to replace Timofey “interz” Yakushin, HLTV reported citing its own sources.
According to the outlet, Cloud9’s management already decided on the choice to replace interz. Earlier, according to rumors – in addition to buster – three candidates were also considered: Igor “Forester” Bezotecheskiy and Sanjar “SANJI” Kuliev.
23-year-old buster has been playing with Virtus.pro since 2019. He was sent to the bench twice during this time and is now inactive since May 2022.
Cloud9 will debut with the updated roster at IEM Katowice 2023, which will be held from January 31 to February 12 2023.
If all negotiations are successful for buster Cloud9 will be:
- Vladislav “nafany” Gorshkov (in-game leader)
- Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov
- Timur “buster” Tulepov
- Sergey “Ax1Le” Rykhtorov
- Abay “HObbit” Khasenov
- Konstantin “groove” Pikiner (coach)
