Report: Rich will replace Armut in Dignitas
According to sources close to BLIX.GG, Lee “Rich” Jae-won has reached a verbal agreement with Dignitas and will be the top laner of the LCS team.
The player to be replaced is Ä°rfan Berk “Armut” Tükek, who competed with MAD Lions the previous two years and won the LEC, as well as he attended Worlds four times as he won several TCL titles.
Context for Dignitas
Dignitas are looking to make some changes in the roster after finishing 10th in the LCS 2023 Spring Split, with a total of 3 wins and 15 losses. The team managed to overcome once only CLG, Golden Guardians and EG in the best-of-1 double round-robin meat grinder.
Dignitas have been seeking for success for several years â the last time the team entered top-4 of the regular LCS Curcuit was NA LCS Summer 2017, ending the given split on 4th place (BLIX’s note: we don’t take into account pre-season LCS Lock-In 2022, where Dignitas also ended 4th).
Why Does Faker Ban Aatrox: Explaining The Solo Queue Ban (blix.gg)
Previously, Dignitas ended Spring’s 2022 LCS Split on 7th place and the Summer 2022 one on 10th place.
Our sources confirm that some other Dignitas’ players are also exploring offers in the LCS.
Context for Rich
Rich is a Korean toplaner who has competed for teams in both China and Korea.
He started his career as the mid laner of Gen.G but quickly moved to the top lane, passing through teams like NS RedForce and Victory Five.

His last contract was as a substitute with Ninjas in Pyjamas.
Before entering League Of Legends competitive scene, Jae-won was one of the brightest Heroes of the Storm players. He earned nearly $430,000 USD of prize money in HotS and grabbed more than dozen of titles playing for KSV, MVP Black and Gen.G.
Rich’s personality and achievements in Heroes of the Storm are often compared to Faker in League of Legends. He’s being called “Faker of HotS”
In 2019 he made a transition from Gen.G Heroes of the Storm team to League of Legends.
Why is it important?
With the current situation of Dignitas, the team, frankly speaking, was not looking competitive in the last two LCS Splits winning in total of 6 matches out of 30.
Rich’s arrival (alongside with couple of more potential changes) to Dignitas camp could rapidly improve the situation for Dignitas and make them fight for LCS play-off.
With that said, Dignitas’ roster for now will look like:
*Note: more changes will happen in Dignitas during this off season.
⢠Lucas “Santorin” Larsen (Jungle)
⢠Nikolaj “Jensen” Jensen (Mid)
⢠Frank “Tomo” Lam (Bot)
⢠Vincent “Biofrost” Wang (Support)
⢠Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun (Support)
⢠Lee “Rich” Jae-won (Top)
⢠Ilias “Enatron” Theodorou (Head coach).
From BLIX.GG we will keep you informed about the changes in the off season.
