League of Legends is one of the games with the largest fan base in the world. Millions of people play it daily, so it’s no surprise that Riot is trying to offer even more options. This is the reason why the League of Legends card game was announced.

Currently called Project K, the game is supposed to come out in 2025. The LoL spin-off will be very interesting, and it will increase the popularity of the “main game” even more. There are plenty of TGC fans who would love to give the League of Legends card game 2025 a chance, so let’s see what we can expect from this game.

    The Expectations

We do not know anything specific about the League of Legends card game rules at the moment. However, considering Riot is behind it, there are huge expectations. People love to speculate in terms of what’s going to be available, but no one knows what will happen until the game is actually here.

One of the first expectations that we need to address here is the release date. Most people are hoping to see the League of Legends card game in 2025, but this may not be the case. The main reason we don’t believe this would happen is because of 2XKO, which is Riot’s fighting game.

Following its announcement more than 5 years ago, the game should finally arrive in 2025. Although it is also possible to see the new card game in the same year, we expect Project K to be delayed for at least one year or even more. Don’t forget that all of this is pure speculation because we do not know what will happen.

Interesting Details About The League of Legends Card Game

Something that you should remember about his game is that there will also be a physical TGC title. According to Riot, the League of Legends trading card game will be separated from the digital variation of the game.

What we also know about this title is that there will be a small team behind it led by Dave Guskin. What’s interesting about the TGC is that it should allow people to play in a 1v1 format. Furthermore, there will be a “social multi-player” variation that can include a couple of people. The idea behind these things is to make the game more attractive for competitive and casual players.

Riot’s plans for the TGC are to hold different kinds of local events. The company will also be interested in hosting big international competitions that will include the best in the world.

No one can be 100% sure where the game will become available first, but Riot mentioned that the TGC’s initial release should be in China.

The Game’s Effect on the LoL Lore

When talking about the League of Legends card game mobile or desktop variation, one thing that we need to think of is the lore. People interested in those kinds of things know that LoL’s lore is very complex. Moreover, it often changes over time, and many fans believe that the arrival of Project K will change everything.

The reason why fans are worried that the League of Legends lore could change is because of what happened to Arcane. Although it is something outside of the game itself, Arcane had an effect on the lore. Yes, it is true that the new League of Legends card game may not have the same impact, but it could change some things.

    Project K’s First Reveals

Despite the fact that we do not know much about the League of Legends card game, the game’s first trial gave us some hits. If you analyze it closely, you will see interesting details, such as the cards. We saw that Jinx and Viktor were in it, which meant we could expect all the popular champions.

Another thing that we saw about Riot’s latest project is how some of the cards look and what they do. Specific options looked very similar to the abilities in League of Legends. Others, however, were very different, so fans can expect to see new effects.

Another aspect that needs to be mentioned is the game’s dynamic field. The reason why we believe this will be a thing is because the trailer revealed that Yasuo can move friendly cards. This could also mean that the location of the cards will make a difference.

The last important aspect of the League of Legends card game is the fact that there will be alliances. In other words, players will be able to form teams and compete against others.

    Conclusion

We really hope that Project K will arrive soon because fans are eager to see it in action. A lot of them expect to see similarities between the new League of Legends card game and Legends of Runetarra. Although there might be some elements that will be very similar, Riot assured that the new project is completely different.

The fact that there will also be a physical product means that it will be more sophisticated than the current game. Of course, we will have to wait and see what happens.
