Days after the Ascension Grand Final, M80 decided to part ways with their entire Valorant roster.
Despite their dominance in the North American Challengers League, where they consistently performed well, M80 fell short of securing a spot in the VCT Americas after losing to The 2Game Esports in the Ascension Grand Finals. As a result, the entire team has entered free agency to explore new opportunities in the Valorant offseason.
The organization has expressed gratitude for the players’ efforts, and players also thanked the organization for this opportunity. I proved to myself that I could compete in the tier 1 space this year with how I played during the season and by beating out all your favorite “Tier 1” initiators to earn the M80 spot in the trials Bcj said, “I honestly dont know what’s going to happen in the next few months and most of it feels out of my control which sucks, but I do plan on continuing to compete in Valorant when I’m given an opportunity.“
Nismo also shared his free agency announcement on X, saying, “I’m Grateful for the journey with the boys. I wish all of them the best. I’m very grateful to have been a part of this squad and organization.” He said, “I’m Willing to play Any Initiator/Sentinel/Flexible Duelist. I’m very flexible and open to IGL’ing, as well, as I have been co-IGL’ing for a while now.“
M80 duelist koalanoobalso shared his situation: “Can play any duelist and excel at OPing at a top tier level. I can play all smoke agents and chamber/sage and am willing to learn and flex any role needed to make the team succeed.”
neT was one of the last members to announce that he was hungry and motivated for more. He also said he could co-GL and pointed out that he is very vocal and open to any region.
Lastly, Zander has yet to announce his social platforms, but he has reposted M80’s announcement; it is believed that he has been training with Sentinels for the smoke role since TenZ retired this year.
