The company behind DraculaN 7 finally announced more information bout the tournament. Digital Crusade shared some of the key factors we need to know, so let’s dive in.
DraculaN 7 Overview
The tournament will attract a lot of the big names in CS2 and it will feature a total of $75,000 prize pool. The competition will take place between June 23 and June 28.
Unlike the tournament’s previous version, this one will be a little bit different because all teams will start from the Group Stage. 14 of the CS2 squads will come from the CRS invites and we will also see two wildcards. Judging from what we know now, the May 4 update will be used for both invites and seeding purposes.
We will have two GSL groups, each with 8 teams, playing Bo3 matches. Once the games are over, the top three teams from each group will go to the Playoffs. The winners will take part in the semifinals, whereas the runner-ups will be in the quarterfinals as the High Seed. Lastly, we will have the teams that finish 3rd and they will go in the quarterfinals as the low seeds.
Once the playoffs arrive, we will have a single-elimination bracket with Bo3 matches and a Bo5 Grand Final. It is still early to tell which CS2 teams will make the cut, but there’s no denying this will be one of the most important Tier 2 CS2 events of the year.
If we look at what happened in DraculaN Season 6, we will see that the competition featured 24 teams. Following a fierce battle, M80 lifted the trophy after defeating Monte in the Grand Final. Whether M80 will be able to win the competition yet again remains to be seen, so make sure to follow us for more details.
