The new CS:GO project of the French veteran Richard “shox” Papillon Nakama Esports has parted ways with two players, Edouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeaux and Paul “â day0sâ ” Niel.
“We have decided to part ways with SmithZz and day0s. A big thank you to them for being part of the adventure, we wish them the best in their future projects. We are currently evaluating the various possibilities for the future,” noted the Nakama statement.
day0sâ was one of the three young talents in this project despite of SmithZz, who has been playing in the professional CS scene since 2006 and joined Nakama as a player with the goal of moving to a management position later.
“I couldn’t adapt myself to this team gameplay that we brought in, I wasn’t aware enough from the difficulties it would be to adapt my own gameplay to a teamplay within little time, I’m still happy that I’ve had the chance to play with 2 legends, and 2 youngsters that might become legends. I’d like thanking Richard “shox” for the trust he gave me for those 2 month,” day0s noted on Tweetlonger.
Shox created Nakama Esports in January this year after leaving Apeks with the plan to compete in the Paris Major, which will be held in May 2023. Unfortunately, Nakama failed to qualify for the tournament.
