G2 has announced the addition of Janusz ‘Snax’ Pogorzelski to its CS2 roster. He will take over the in-game leadership role from Rasmus ‘HooXi’ Nielsen, who was benched from the team on Monday.
The G2 team recently revamped its roster, replacing Nemanja ‘nexa’ IsakoviÄ with Mario ‘malbsMd’ Samayoa from M80.
The two new players will make assigning roles within the new roster challenging. ‘Snax’, replacing ‘HooXi’, has a different playstyle, and ‘malbsMd’s positions clash with ‘huNter-‘ or ‘NiKo’ on most maps.
With just two weeks left before their debut in the new season, G2 faces a race against time to solve a challenging puzzle. The debut is scheduled to take place at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from July 17 to 21.
‘Snax’ has moved to G2 from GamerLegion, marking a significant transfer within the professional gaming scene. His return to tier-one play last September with GamerLegion allowed him to develop his leadership skills further. Before this, he had already showcased his leadership abilities as part of the legendary Virtus.pro roster.
The recent transfer signifies a long-awaited reunion between ‘Snax’ and Wiktor ‘TaZ’ Wojtas. Their close relationship dates back to their time together as part of the Virtus.pro team from 2013 to 2018.
Despite rumors of a strained relationship towards the end of their time together, the pair managed to win a dozen titles. This included the EMS One Katowice Major, which they won on home soil in 2014, marking a golden era for Polish Counter-Strike.
