Kamil “Koma`” Biktimirov (Vitus.pro), Danil “illusion” Grzhevka (Ancient Tribe) and Yaroslav “Limitless” Parshin (ex-Alliance), who was permanently banned by Valve and PGL, have pleaded guilty to account sharing. Koma` and illusion have asked to reduce the punishment for themselves and Limitless asked to unban illusion because the Ukrainian athlete found out about the violation only after the fact, Escorenews reported.
“I fully admit my guilt, I apologize to the entire community and especially to the VP fans. I understand how much I let my club down, but I can’t do anything anymore. I wanted to be a Virtus.pro player, so I hid the fact of my offense during the tests for the team, hoping that no one would find out about it… I agree that I should be punished for my mistake, but I will ask Valve to reduce the ban. I want to believe in the best, but I will accept any choice Valve,” Koma` said.
illusion stated that his account was used without permission, but then, when he was informed about this, he decided to hide this information so as not to harm his friends.
“Many of my friends have my account details, I just gave them Steam Guard. Many give their accounts with games, some kind of board games and jackboxes to friends – almost everyone does this. When you live in Ukraine, I think many people are familiar with the random blackout, when you play, you are thrown out, and you ask someone you know to finish playing,” he said.
Limitless confirmed illusion’s words and asked Valve to reconsider the decision to ban the Ukrainian.
“Most of all I regret that we dragged illusion into all this mess. The player really found out about it only after we did all this, so I sincerely want to ask Valve and PGL to reconsider their decision to ban Danila for life. Yes, he did not say [about violation], although he should have, this is also our fault,” Limitless said.
As BLIX.GG earlier reported, Valve and PGL permanently banned 10 pro players for account sharing. A significant number of those who fell under the ban were associated with the Russian team Luna Gaming.
