NRG has officially cut ties with their coach, Chet “Chet” Singh, and the player, Victor “Victor” Wong. The team anticipates reintroducing Max “Demon1” Mazanov to the starting lineup.
Chet and Victor first met in the Envy roster, forming a solid team that would go on later to succeed in multiple tournaments. Their victory was back in 2022 when they secured the trophy at VCT Master Reykjavik. When Envy didn’t meet the requirement to be a franchised team, Victor decided to join NRG in the same year’known for his impressive game sense and mechanics. Victor quickly became a strong pole in the team. NRG successfully qualified for Valorant Champions 2023, making him a decisive player in the competitive scene.
Chet is also a strong persona in the Valorant pro scene. With his excellent coaching technique and a solid counter-strike background, Chet came to Valorant with a clear mind to lift trophies. He secured many trophies, showcasing his skills and talent in the pro scene.
Demon1 made history last year as a breakout rookie in the competitive gaming scene when he won the first-ever Champions trophy in North America in front of his home crowd. After beginning play in Tier 3, Demon1 was eventually chosen by Evil Geniuses and proceeded to compete in two significant tournament grand finals. Demon1 signed with NRG to prepare for the 2024 season after winning the 2023 Champions event.
Entering Stage 1, NRG was optimistic about reaching Masters Shanghai. Regretfully, after seeing Kickoff, their performance fell short of what was anticipated. More roster changes resulted from the team’s failure to qualify for the playoffs. Demon1 was benched, and Marved was let go. FNS and s0m were added back to the squad. Despite major adjustments, Split 2 produced comparable results, with NRG just missing the playoffs and skipping a chance to compete at Champions. The team determined Chet and decided not to extend Victor’s contract to get ready for the next campaign
