VCT Americas 2024 Players Of The Year Awards

Valorant Esport NA recently shared on Twitter its top players and coaches of the year for all different roles. The winners are selected by votes from the VCT broadcast team, third-party media, and representatives from each VCT Americas team. These votes reflect players’ performances throughout the year and their team contributions. Check out the Reddit discussion.

Controller of the Year: Valyn

Valorant Player: Valyn

Jacob “valyn” Batio wins the title of Controller of the Year. His team’s success has been greatly attributed to his mastery of the battlefield through smokes and utility control. As a Controller, valyn has continuously shown that he is incredibly skilled at controlling the game’s tempo and setting up favorable circumstances for his team. He also managed to win the IGL of the year, this comes from his fantastic game planning and brilliant strategies, valyn is the definition of hard work and trusting your team together for great success.

Valyn has demonstrated an impressive understanding of his role by using smokes and other abilities to control essential areas of the map and block enemy vision.

Tactical Expertise:

His ability to make snap decisions and adjust to shifting circumstances has made him a hazardous player.

Duelist of the Year: Aspas

Erick “aspas” Santos, a talented player known for his aggressive playstyle and ability to get kills, grabbed the title Duelist of the Year. Aspas has proven his mechanics and skills needed to be a great duelist, creating space for your teams and taking first contact with the enemy.

Aspas is known for taking decisive action, frequently leading the charge and securing significant kills that disrupt enemy defenses and open up the site.

Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic has been crowned the initiator of the year. He helped his team succeed with his ability to set up plays and provide the necessary information. With his excellent timing and game sense, eeiu has regularly initiated and consistently demonstrated an in-depth understanding of game mechanics and tactics.

Sentinel of the Year: leaf
