What is a Night Market?
The Night Market
Valorant’s Night Market is a limited-time event held near the end of the Act. This event allows players to buy weapon skins at a discounted price. Each player’s Night Market is personalized, allowing them to buy six different random weapon skins. The skins can range from Select-Tier skins to Premium-Tier skins.
You can get your desired discounted skin, so many people look forward to this event. However, there are a few restrictions, which we will talk about below.
How Does Night Market Work? Features and Dates
Cards at the Night Market
When Night Market launched, randomness was getting a little out of hand: some players could get expensive skins, while others were left with ones they wanted to buy. After that, Riot changed the luck parameters and ensured no player left Night Market disappointed.
Each player’s Night Market always has at least two offerings: either melee knife skins or Premium Edition weapon skins. Players usually don’t get more than two skins for the same weapon type.
Each time a new Night Market opens, players will receive offers for six random weapon skins at discounts ranging from 10% to 49%. These offers are unique to each player.
Open cards on the Night Market
Any weapon skins categorized as Select, Deluxe, or Premium, as well as most knife skins associated with those edition levels, can appear in the game. Suitable skins must also have been released in the store at least two acts before the one in which Night Market was opened.
Another disappointment for players is the inability to change skins received; the Valorant Community has been asking Riot Games to add an option to update Night Market content for some time now, but this has been unsuccessful.
The following collections will be added to the Night Market pool at the start of Episode 9, Act 1:
- Select Fortune’s Hand
- Premium Sovereign
- Select Switchback
By the way, a new skins collection was recently released in Valorant. There was a post about it on Twitter.

The last Night Market occurred between August 15, 2024, and August 28, 2024.
It was also the first Night Market to air for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X simultaneously, so we expect future markets to be available on all platforms simultaneously.
The Valorant Night Market in Episode 9, Act 2 will probably start closer to the twenties of 2024. But if not, we can definitely expect it in October.
The September night market will feature new skins from the Holomoku and Aemondir sets. This will be added to the already sizeable Valorant weapon skin sets pool. However, it does not include weapon skins worth more than 1,775 VP.
How to Access the Night Market in Valorant
When the market is available, a special icon will appear near the store in the upper right corner of the above panel. Its logo includes a noticeably brighter card than the other menu items.
- Click on the card logo in the upper right corner of the VALORANT home screen.
- You can now explore the VALORANT Night Market skin collection that is available to you.
- Click on individual cards to unlock cosmetic items.
- The colors on the cards determine the rarity of the skins you get.
Card colors are blue for Select levels, green for Deluxe, pink for Premium, and yellow for melee skins.
Initially, you will see upside-down cards with hidden contents. You just need to click on the cards to reveal your discounted skins. Discounts on cosmetic items vary from account to account, so you may not get the same Valorant Night Market skins as your friends.
If you are a weapon skin collector with almost all Valorant weapon skins, expect your pool to be smaller. Combat Pass skins, exclusives, ultras, and melee skins above 3,500 VP will not appear on your night market.
Importance of the Night Market to the Community
Skins at one of the Night Markets
The night market is an additional chance to get cherished skin, especially at a lower price.
Interestingly, Valorant is a game played in many countries. One user on Reddit said that the discounted bottom skins in this event are essential to him. We’ll leave the discussion on Reddit here for you to read.
It’s worth noting that the gaming community has critically received recent events. Users on Reddit and other platforms complain about the incredibly bad randomization and terrible skins available for purchase. For example, here are discussions of the recent Night Market.
Some players even suggest that the night market is not for players to buy discounted skins but rather to spend more real money on Valorant.
Can I Change the Night Market Skins to Valorant?
No. Unfortunately, you must get lucky if you have good skins in the Night Market. Once you unlock those skins, you cannot change them during the current Night Market period in Valorant. There is also no upgrade or reset for the market.
Thus, you only have to choose from these skins to purchase something from the market. You can also wait another two months to see your following Night Market skins.
